Job summary

Care Access is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to advance data-driven solutions for clinical trials, including building models that improve enrollment and trial management. You will work in a regulated healthcare data environment, ensuring privacy and compliance while collaborating with ML engineers and product teams.

The role emphasizes forecasting, patient matching, and developing scalable analytics pipelines using AWS tools, with a strong focus on bias monitoring and fair AI practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in statistics, data science, computer science, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on data science/analytics in healthcare or highly regulated data environments.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with ML libs.
• Experience with AWS data services and dbt.
• Understanding of HIPAA/GDPR and data privacy best practices.

Responsibilities

• Forecast site randomization and enrollment trends.
• Develop patient matching/ranking for trials.
• Build advanced predictive models (Bayesian, regression, time-series).
• Monitor AI models for bias, drift, and fairness.
• Develop data pipelines using AWS Athena, Redshift, SageMaker, dbt.
• Ensure privacy compliance in data science activities.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, PMs, and stakeholders to deploy models.
