Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design, develop, and deploy scalable ML and generative AI solutions. You will collaborate with data engineers, ML engineers, cloud architects, and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready capabilities.

The role emphasizes hybrid work with three days per week in Alpharetta, GA, and requires strong Python and ML framework skills, plus experience with GCP, Databricks, Kubernetes, and LLMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience deploying and supporting ML/AI solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong programming experience with Python and ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Hands-on experience with GCP and Databricks.
• Experience deploying and managing containerized apps using Kubernetes.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies and frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, LangChain, LLM APIs).
• Knowledge of distributed computing and large-scale data processing architectures.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy scalable ML and generative AI solutions in cloud environments.
• Develop and optimize predictive models using Python and ML frameworks.
• Leverage GCP, Databricks, and Kubernetes to operate AI workloads.
• Integrate LLMs and generative AI frameworks into enterprise apps and processes.
• Establish monitoring, logging, and performance tracking for production models.
