Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to design and deliver advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions for global investment banking and brokerage operations.

The candidate will leverage Python, PySpark, Azure ML, and Generative AI to build GenAI and RAG applications, deploy scalable ML pipelines, and integrate LangChain/LangGraph in enterprise workflows. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to drive value and governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Science, ML, AI Engineering or related fields.
• Expert-level Python and PySpark for large-scale data processing and model development.
• Strong experience with FastAPI, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, OOP and software engineering best practices.
• Hands-on with LangChain, LangGraph, RAG Architectures, Agentic AI Frameworks, LLM application development.
• Deep expertise in Azure ML, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and MLOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ML models using Python and PySpark to analyze large financial datasets.
• Build predictive, classification, clustering, anomaly detection, forecasting and risk models for investment banking workflows.
• Perform model validation, back-testing, and experimentation with historical and simulated data.
• Develop enterprise-grade GenAI solutions using Azure OpenAI Service and RAG approaches.
• Create scalable backend services and APIs with FastAPI and implement microservices.
• Establish model monitoring, governance, and lifecycle management across Azure platforms.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in AI engineering.
