Job summary

Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to collaborate with biostatistics, data management, clinical development and medical affairs to deliver data analytics and data science solutions in support of clinical development programs.

You will apply innovative methods, contribute to protocol design and analysis plans, and explore AI-enabled approaches across trials and real-world data. This role offers a competitive salary, bonus eligibility, and equity incentives.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biostatistics; or closely related discipline, with two years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech industry setting; or equivalent combination of experience.
• Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of statistical experimental design, data analysis
• Demonstrated proficiency with software R, SAS, Python, GitHub, and Generative AI Tools
• Understanding of ICH, FDA guidelines;
• Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to the changing needs of the organization
• Strong interpersonal and effective communication (oral and written) skills

Responsibilities

• Effectively using innovative methodology and technology for data analysis in cooperation with peers across all Rigel functions
• Identify productive new technological initiatives using data science, mathematics, statistics and AI approach to clinical trial and real world data
• Understand the clinical trial design and analysis methodology.
• Involved in the protocol design, statistical analysis plan, clinical study reports, publications
