Qualifications

• 4+ years experience as a data scientist or data analyst extracting insights from big data with minimal engineering support.
• 1+ year experience developing or evaluating ML models.
• Experience guiding product teams to identify opportunities and drive data‑driven decisions in a two-sided marketplace.
• Mastery of SQL and proficiency in Python/R; familiarity with Spark is a plus.
• Experience crafting online experiments and understanding A/B testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical aspects of the product lifecycle from sizing opportunities to measuring success via experimentation for ML squads.
• Collaborate with Ads Marketplace leads to define key analysis questions.
• Use rigorous methods to improve the models powering Etsy Ads.
• Define metrics to ensure robust measurement of product performance.
• Additional duties as needed and aligned with Etsy policy.
