Job summary

NewsBreak in Mountain View, CA is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join the Ad Platform team. You will leverage analytics, ML, and statistical modeling to optimize ad delivery, improve targeting, and enhance the advertising experience across products.

You will work with engineering, product, and sales to drive data-driven decisions and build scalable data pipelines and real-time ML systems that impact revenue.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning in advertising or digital marketing.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or SQL with experience in big data technologies.
• Expertise in statistical analysis, A/B testing, and causal inference.
• Experience working with large-scale ad datasets and RTB platforms is a plus.
• Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends and opportunities for optimizing ad performance and revenue.
• Design A/B experiments to evaluate ad products and bidding strategies.
• Provide actionable insights through data visualization, reporting, and dashboards.
• Build scalable data pipelines and real-time ML systems with engineers.
• Collaborate with product managers to define KPIs and guide roadmaps with data-driven insights.
• Develop models to improve ad targeting, ranking, and delivery.
