Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Senior Data Scientist based in the United States to develop and operationalize ML, statistical, and optimization solutions at scale in healthcare. You will work with clinicians, product teams, and data engineers to translate insights into production-ready AI products that improve healthcare quality and patient outcomes.

You will build and deploy NLP and explainable AI models, tune LLM-based systems, and design experiments to measure real-world impact.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industry experience developing ML systems in production.
  • At least 1 year developing and tuning LLM-based systems.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills with data cleaning and pipelines.
  • Solid software engineering foundations with code quality.
  • Experience collaborating with clinicians, product teams, and data engineers is a plus.
  • Experience with healthcare data is a plus.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build, refine, deploy, and maintain ML models at scale, including NLP and explainable AI.
  • Develop and operationalize LLM-based systems with rigorous evaluation.
  • Evaluate modeling approaches and improve ML/LLM solutions.
  • Design experiments and analytics frameworks to measure real-world impact in healthcare.
  • Perform data cleaning, transformation, and pipeline development in Python and SQL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate insights into production-ready products.
  • Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Scientist based in United States.

Join a mission-driven data science team focused on applying advanced technology to meaningful challenges in healthcare. In this role, you will develop and operationalize machine learning, statistical, and mathematical optimization solutions at scale. You will help advance ML and LLM capabilities while ensuring models are effective, reliable, and trusted by users. Working closely with clinicians, product experts, data scientists, and data platform engineers, you will turn complex data into measurable outcomes. Your work will directly influence products designed to improve healthcare quality, operational efficiency, and patient outcomes. This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute to sophisticated AI solutions in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Accountabilities
  • Build, refine, deploy, and maintain statistical and machine learning models at scale, including NLP and explainable AI approaches.
  • Develop, tune, and operationalize LLM-based systems while establishing rigorous evaluation methods for performance, reliability, and user trust.
  • Evaluate different modeling approaches and contribute to the continuous improvement of ML and LLM solutions.
  • Design experiments and develop analytics frameworks to measure the real-world impact of AI solutions in healthcare environments.
  • Perform hands-on data engineering, including data cleaning, transformation, analysis, and pipeline development using Python and SQL.
  • Partner with clinicians, product teams, data scientists, and data platform engineers to translate insights and models into production-ready products.
  • Communicate technical findings, analytical results, and model performance clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of industry experience developing, launching, and maintaining machine learning systems in production at scale.
  • At least 1 year of experience developing and tuning LLM systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience manipulating datasets, cleaning data, and building data pipelines.
  • Solid software engineering foundations, with a strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and stable architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate modeling approaches and translate complex findings into practical solutions.
  • Experience working with healthcare data or hospital operations is a plus.
  • Experience with Databricks, AWS, dbt, or similar data and cloud platforms is a plus.
  • A master’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field is a plus.
