Job summary

7Seventy is seeking a Data Scientist focused on developing, improving, and deploying machine learning models for healthcare data analytics. You will build classification and information extraction models, analyze complex healthcare datasets, and contribute to production ML solutions.

You should be proficient in Python and SQL, familiar with NLP, LLMs, and ML pipelines, and collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models and extend analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 1–3 years with a Master's degree.
  • Demonstrated experience developing machine learning solutions and applying AI technologies to solve practical problems.
  • Proven ability to use emerging AI technologies to address technical and analytical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build machine learning models for classification and information extraction tasks.
  • Analyze complex healthcare datasets to develop new features and improve existing models.
  • Implement solutions that improve the accuracy and performance of existing models.

  • Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and stay current with developments in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • Strong interest in emerging AI technologies and their practical applications.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP).
  • Experience working with large language models (LLMs).
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and workflows.
  • Experience with extract, transform, and load (ETL) processing.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Previous experience working in SaaS companies or healthcare environments.
  • Experience with healthcare data.
  • Knowledge of healthcare quality improvement or risk adjustment.
