Job summary

DraftKings Inc. in Boston seeks a Senior Data Science Engineering Manager, Marketing, to lead a team of data scientists and ML engineers, translating complex opportunities into focused priorities and scalable solutions with measurable customer impact.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Revenue to align technical investments with business goals, guide model development lifecycle, and elevate personalization at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/DS/ML or related field.
• 10+ years in data science or ML engineering.
• 5+ years of formal people leadership/management experience.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; experience with data platforms and cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of ML systems, experimentation, and SDLC.
• Experience with DevOps and ML Ops practices (containerization, automation, testing, deployment, monitoring).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to influence senior partners.
• Gaming or related industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of data scientists and ML engineers.
• Set team strategy, roadmaps, and priorities with clear success metrics.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Revenue, and Data Science to align opportunities with business outcomes.
• Guide development and deployment of ML systems across the full model lifecycle.
• Influence architecture of model-driven experiences: data pipelines, feature generation, serving, and observability.
• Advance software engineering and MLOps practices across the team (automation, testing, deployment, monitoring).
• Own capacity planning and resource allocation; adjust priorities as opportunities evolve.
• Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement to deliver measurable impact.
