Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Science to lead our UK team as we stand it up alongside the US data science org. You will guide standards, mentoring, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver impactful data products.

You will shape a roadmap across Marketing, Operations, Product, and Finance, while maintaining technical credibility and ensuring production readiness. This role blends leadership with hands-on strategic influence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Data Science or ML engineering with at least 2 years of people leadership.
• Experience building or shaping a brand-new team, office, or region from an early stage.
• Strong Python/SQL and applied ML knowledge to review designs and unblock teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish the UK team norms, onboarding, and technical culture.
• Lead the UK team as a distributed function with the US data science org.
• Shape the roadmap by prioritizing requests from multiple functions into a shared plan.
• Review designs and code to ensure technical quality without daily production coding.
• Unblock ambiguity and make tie-breaking technical calls as needed.
• Set and enforce standards for code review, docs, monitoring, and rigor.
• Own delivery of 0-to-1 builds and ensure production reliability and business impact.
