Job summary

SoTalent is seeking an experienced Data Quality and Assurance Lead for a prominent financial services client. You will drive data governance, metadata management, and data quality measurement across enterprise systems, partnering with business owners and IT to ensure accurate, secure data and compliant operations.

This hybrid role requires four days in the office with locations in San Antonio, Plano, Phoenix, Colorado Springs, or Charlotte.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in business or science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in information management or data delivery; advanced degree requires 6+ years.
• Proven experience implementing data management strategies in complex environments.
• Strong SQL or SQL-based language proficiency.
• Experience leading project teams and applying data management tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills for executive audiences.
• Experience coaching or mentoring in data management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with leadership to integrate information management into workflows.
• Identify and lead data process improvements across functions.
• Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex data problems and align tools with business requirements.
• Manage the validity of information asset inventories and ensure governance compliance.
• Direct data lineage stitching to maintain end-to-end data flows.
• Design data quality rules, thresholds, and metrics to support business processes.
• Oversee corrective action plans for high risk data concerns and conduct root cause analysis.
• Develop master and reference data processes aligned with corporate policies.
• Partner with IT to define access management strategies and manage data classification.
• Ensure all business activities are monitored and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies.
