Job description

Description Position at Everyday Health - Professional

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Data Quality Analyst to join our fast-paced Data & Analytics team. This team supports internal operations and client-facing work by ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data pipelines, audience segmentation, and reporting. You'll take ownership of quality checks across the data lifecycle—from ingestion to delivery—and work closely with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to drive high standards and solve issues quickly. Strong communication and collaboration are key to this role.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Own and manage QA processes for data pipelines, campaign outputs, and reporting across Databricks, SQL Server, Looker, and QuickPivot
  2. Build automated tests to catch data issues early and ensure clean, reliable data throughout workflows
  3. Test all changes and new development before they go live
  4. Work closely with engineering, business intelligence, data science, and operations teams to identify and resolve issues quickly
  5. Maintain clear documentation of QA processes and testing standards
  6. Investigate data quality problems and recommend solutions that prevent them from recurring
  7. Be the final checkpoint for data accuracy before delivery to internal teams or clients
  8. Mentor junior team members and promote QA best practices
  9. Collaborate with global teammates in agile, sprint-based cycles—managing priorities, raising blockers, and delivering quality work on time
  10. Bonus if the candidate brings a strong understanding of clean coding principles and can actively contribute to enforcing code quality and development standards. Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and tools such as Jira, Git, and Jenkins is highly desirable, particularly in the context of automated testing and continuous quality assurance.
Job Qualifications
  1. Experience: 8–10 years in data QA or analytics, with at least 2 years of team leadership or management experience
  2. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain complex data issues clearly to different teams
  3. Leadership: Strong sense of ownership, team mentorship experience, and a proactive approach to solving problems
  4. Technical Skills: Skilled in Python and SQL; experienced with Databricks Data Lake, SQL Server, or MySQL
  5. Tools: Hands-on experience with Databricks, SQL Server, Looker, and QlikView/Qlik Sense
  6. Data Understanding: Familiar with ad tech, campaign measurement, audience targeting, and reporting workflows
  7. Ways of Working: Comfortable working in agile environments and across time zones with global teams
  8. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
