Job summary

Altria is seeking a Senior Manager, Enterprise Technology Data Protection Consultant to lead the enterprise data protection program. You will provide technical leadership across DLP, data governance, cloud security, and Zero Trust, influencing strategy and delivering practical security solutions across a large environment.

You will collaborate with Technology, Security, Compliance, and business partners to design modern security controls and mentor engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in data protection, DLP engineering, security architecture, or related area.
• Experience modernizing enterprise DLP programs in large organizations.
• Advanced proficiency with multiple DLP platforms (Microsoft Purview DLP, Broadcom DLP, Zscaler DLP).
• Experience with cloud security platforms (Zscaler ZIA, CASB, Conditional Access).
• Hands-on experience with SIEM and endpoint security tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, Tanium).
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python).
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust and modern cloud security frameworks.
• Experience in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, SaaS).
• CISSP or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Implement and improve enterprise DLP across email, endpoints, networks, cloud, and web channels.
• Develop and optimize DLP policies, rule sets, and detection logic.
• Lead data classification and labeling initiatives using Microsoft Information Protection or similar.
• Conduct data discovery to identify exposed sensitive information and coordinate remediation.
• Design and maintain cloud security controls using CASB, Zero Trust, and governance platforms.
• Implement and support Conditional Access, Intune, and Zero Trust policies.
• Strengthen data protection across SharePoint, OneDrive, and SaaS apps.
• Develop data governance controls for AI platforms and guardrails for generative AI tools.
• Collaborate with Insider Risk, Security Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams; use SIEM for analysis; lead security projects and audits; mentor engineers.
