Job summary

Altria is seeking a Manager, Data Products in Richmond, VA, to convert business requests into defined data products. This hands-on leadership role focuses on cloud data platforms, guiding outsourced teams, and setting standards for delivery and cost/performance.

Hybrid work with relocation benefits is offered. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data analytics, strong Azure/Databricks experience, and a track record of delivering data work across a portfolio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data and analytics with hands-on engineering, architecture, or platform experience, incl. 3+ years delivering data work.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field.
• Ownership of demand intake, portfolio, or product backlog across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience directing outsourced/managed service delivery partners for design review and acceptance.
• Deep technical fluency in Azure data services and Databricks platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end demand intake for data and analytics; qualify, size, prioritize, and disposition requests.
• Run intake as a managed service; publish SLAs, maintain backlog, report throughput and aging.
• Translate business problems into data product definitions with clear success metrics.
• Lead prioritization forums with business stakeholders and COE leadership.
• Consolidate duplicate requests into reusable data products.
