Job summary

Pacific Biosciences is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager for Data Products to own strategy and roadmap for emerging life sciences data offerings. You will translate customer goals into product priorities, working across scientific, technical, and commercial teams to deliver value.

You will define data access, sharing, and usage policies, shape pricing, and partner with business development to evaluate data partnerships. This is a senior IC role requiring broad domain fluency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, engineering, computer science, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• 7+ years product management or related leadership experience for enterprise data/software products.
• Experience in genomics, biopharma, healthcare data, bioinformatics, or life sciences.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms, analytics environments, governance, privacy, and data-use controls.
• Strong communication and cross-functional influencing skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and roadmap for emerging life sciences data products.
• Lead customer discovery, demonstrations, pilots, and feedback sessions.
• Translate needs into requirements, launch criteria, and success metrics for data products.
• Collaborate with sequencing, bioinformatics, data, cloud, and software teams to ensure feasibility and deliverability.
• Define data use, access, and commercial models; coordinate with legal and privacy teams.
• Drive partnerships and pricing conversations; guide product development to launch.
• Communicate priorities, risks, and commercial implications to executives.
