Job summary

GAINSCO Auto Insurance seeks a Senior Data Product Specialist to own the strategy, lifecycle, adoption, and performance of trusted enterprise data products. You will connect business needs with Data and Analytics capabilities, ensuring products are reusable, governed, accessible, and aligned with measurable outcomes.

The role requires strong product judgment, business acumen, and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data product management experience required.
• 1+ years in P&C insurance or financial services is required.
• Experience leading products through full lifecycle (discovery to retirement).
• Experience prioritizing investments by value, risk, cost, and feasibility.
• Ability to translate business needs into data product priorities.
• Proficiency with product planning tools (Azure DevOps, Visio, Lucidchart, Miro).

Responsibilities

• Define vision, value proposition, consumers, outcomes, and success metrics for data products.
• Build outcome-based roadmaps and prioritize investments by value and strategic fit.
• Own full data product lifecycle from concept to retirement.
• Align sponsors, data owners, engineering, governance, analytics, and platform teams.
• Drive adoption and monitor health through usage, trust, and performance.
• Mentor team members on data product practices and accountability.
