Job summary

Databricks seeks a Sr. Solutions Engineer to independently lead technical engagements, owning discovery, design, and platform demonstrations. You will be a builder who codes, architectures, and presents, driving Databricks adoption with strong customer-facing skills.

You will manage frontline technical relationships, develop strategies with account executives, and contribute assets to the broader SA community while solving complex data challenges at scale.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering, solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or hands-on consulting.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; live coding will be evaluated.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Spark, Delta Lake, Hadoop, Kafka or Flink.
• Experience leading technical customer conversations and designs.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT, medallion architecture, streaming or ML/SQL analytics.
• Strong presentation and demo skills for live solution demonstrations.
• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering or a quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and solution design for customer workloads.
• Build proofs-of-concept and live demos on the Databricks Platform.
• Own frontline technical relationships with customer engineers and data teams.
• Develop account-level technical strategies to grow platform consumption.
• Contribute reusable technical assets to the SA community.
