Job summary

Johnson Controls in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to design and operate a secure, scalable data platform powering Workforce Analytics. This role emphasizes governance, secure data access, and seamless analytics delivery.

You will own the Posit (RStudio) platform, ensure robust integrations with Snowflake, and enable data scientists, analysts, and AI-powered tools to work efficiently in a governed environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering or data platform engineering.
• Deep experience with Snowflake, including performance tuning and access control.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data transformation tools (dbt, Coalesce.io).
• Experience with R / Posit (RStudio) environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and mature secure data access patterns in Snowflake for analysts, applications, and AI/ML tools.
• Own and optimize the Snowflake platform for performance and cost management.
• Own and manage the Posit (RStudio) platform for Workforce Analytics, ensuring secure connectivity to Snowflake.
