Job summary

WebstaurantStore, a leading foodservice equipment retailer, seeks a Senior Data Platform Engineer to architect our enterprise ingestion and data integration on Snowflake.

You will lead ingestion framework design, guide migration from SQL Server to Snowflake, and mentor engineers while delivering production-grade cloud data solutions that scale across marketing, supply chain, operations and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in data engineering.
• 5+ years with Snowflake ingestion, transformation and tuning.
• 4–6 years building data pipelines with Fabric Pipelines.
• 5+ years enterprise SQL, SQL Server, CDC.
• 5+ years in Agile/Scrum.
• 3+ years leading data engineering initiatives.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures and streaming ingestion.
• dbt Cloud for ELT transformation.
• Microsoft Azure experience.
• Certifications in dbt Cloud, Snowflake, or Fabric preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and rollout of a standardized cloud data ingestion framework into Snowflake.
• Architect scalable, secure ingestion patterns across sources.
• Develop Python-based ingestion utilities and automation.
• Establish best practices for observability, logging, and performance.
• Guide migration from SQL Server to Snowflake.
