Job summary

Highnote is building a modern data platform team in San Francisco. We’re seeking a senior data platform engineer to design scalable, secure data platforms and pipelines that power product and customer data needs.

You will write high-quality Java and Python, work with Pub/Sub, Kafka, Kinesis, BigQuery and Snowflake, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data products and enable data-driven decisions. This hybrid SF-based role offers equity, comprehensive benefits, and a fast-growing

Qualifications

12+ years of experience building high volume, low latency data platforms and pipelines using distributed event tech (Pub/Sub, Kafka, Kinesis) and storage systems (Spanner/Postgres, BigQuery, Cassandra).
Experience with BigQuery and Snowflake preferred.
Ability to model and design modern data structures in SQL/NoSQL databases.
Proven track record writing scalable, maintainable code in Java 11+ or Python 3.7+.
Proficiency with AI-powered development tools across the full software lifecycle.
