Job summary

jobgether is seeking a Senior Data Engineer – Data Platform based in the United States to own production data systems end to end, from ingestion and validation through transformation and delivery, in a healthcare-focused data environment.

You will design robust ingestion patterns, define data contracts, and maintain reliable data models while guiding architectural decisions to improve reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years building and operating production data systems.
• Strong SQL and data modeling expertise.
• Experience designing batch and asynchronous data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
• Proficiency in Python for pipelines and tooling.
• Ability to make controlled, reversible changes in production.
• Excellent communication to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own production data systems and key data domains end-to-end.
• Design robust ingestion patterns for incomplete, evolving data.
• Define data contracts between sources, ingestion, and downstream.
• Maintain reliable data models with grain, keys, history.
• Safely evolve schemas and pipelines without corruption.
• Improve pipeline performance, observability, and failure handling.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Operations, and Analytics.
• Document decisions and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
