Job summary

Praxis Precision Medicines is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer, Commercial to design and maintain pipelines, models, and integrations for reliable data powering commercial decisions.

This hands-on role collaborates with data owners and technical partners to translate business definitions into trusted data, with focus on quality, reliability, and privacy. You’ll work with Snowflake and dbt to deliver data products for analytics and AI use cases.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering with production Snowflake workloads.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with data-quality checks and operational automation.
• Hands-on experience with analytical or dimensional data modeling and semantic models.
• Experience integrating APIs, files, or shared datasets and managing schema changes.
• Proficiency with dbt and automated data-quality/regression testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across Snowflake Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
• Integrate data from CRM, field activity, marketing, and external sources; coordinate with data owners.
• Translate requirements into reusable data models and ensure consistency across data products.
• Build automated data-quality checks, data freshness, and schema-change monitoring.
• Troubleshoot failures, support reprocessing/backfills, and implement lasting fixes.
