Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Data to help build the Consumer Data Plane for AI-native experiences and personalization across Credit Karma and TurboTax data streams. You will design high-throughput data frameworks, extend Scala microservices, and optimize cloud pipelines on GCP.

You will own streaming infrastructure with Kafka and build reusable data platform libraries that empower many teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience in JVM languages like Scala or Java.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput, low-latency data frameworks used across Credit Karma's engineering organization.
• Develop Scala-based microservices and frameworks built on Finagle, Akka Streams, and gRPC processing large data volumes.
• Build and optimize cloud-native data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform using Dataflow, Flink, Spark, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Spanner.
• Own and evolve Kafka-based streaming infrastructure with durable, low-latency guarantees.
• Create self-service tooling and on-call observability for reliable data platforms.
• Drive architecture decisions through reviews and Technical Design Documents.
