Job summary

RIVO Holdings, LLC in San Diego, CA is seeking an experienced Senior Data Platform Engineer to architect and build the modern data platform powering our next phase of growth. This is an on-site role with no hybrid or remote option.

You will define the architecture for analytics, ML workloads, and near real-time data processing, transforming legacy data into a scalable platform. The position offers a generous salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

8+ years in Data Warehousing or Data Platform Engineering.
Experience with analytics and data science workloads.
Designing modern Data Warehouse or Data Lake, governance.
Experience with cloud data tools such as Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake.
Strong SQL and Python for ETL/ELT and data processing.

Responsibilities

Design and implement a modern enterprise data warehouse, lakehouse, or hybrid data platform.
Develop target-state architecture for analytics, reporting, and data science.
Establish architecture for scalability, low-latency performance, real-time data.
Modernize legacy ETL-driven warehouse processes.
Define ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption layers.
Build CDC-based ingestion and incremental processing strategies.
Create low-latency ETL/ELT pipelines for near real-time data.
Design scalable semantic layers and consumption models.
Establish data quality, testing, monitoring, and observability.
