RIVO Holdings, LLC in San Diego is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to architect and build a modern data platform that powers analytics, ML, and real-time data processing.

You will design the foundation for scalable data warehousing, lakehouse, and platform governance while guiding cross-functional teams through platform strategy and implementation. This is an on-site role with strong ownership opportunities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data warehousing or data platform engineering for enterprise-scale warehouses
• Experience supporting analytics and data science workloads including ML pipelines
• Designing and implementing modern data warehouses or data lakes with governance
• Cloud data platforms with modern tech (Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure DL storage)
• ETL/ELT pipelines, CDC and incremental processing, SQL and Python performance tuning

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a modern enterprise data platform architecture.
• Develop target-state architecture for analytics, reporting, and data science.
• Establish scalable, low-latency, real-time data availability.
• Modernize legacy ETL-driven warehouse processes.
• Define ingestion, transformation, storage and consumption layers across the platform.
• Build CDC-based ingestion and near real-time processing pipelines.
• Design scalable semantic layers and observability frameworks.
• Lead data platform discussions with cross-functional teams.
