Job summary

LPL Financial Holdings Inc. in New York seeks an AVP Software Engineer to design and scale backend data services within the Connectics team. You will build Python-based processors, data pipelines, and cloud-native solutions that move and validate enterprise data across the platform.

Join a collaborative environment with on-site work 2–3 days per week, contribute to observability, and mentor engineers while delivering reliable data assets for downstream analytics and AI use cases.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python backend development and React + JavaScript.
• 5+ years designing and building scalable backend services, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• 5+ years developing cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Experience with modern data platforms and batch processing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based backend services.
• Build data pipeline frameworks for batch ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and downstream data consumption.
• Develop cloud-native applications on AWS using serverless technologies.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and reliability of data pipelines and integration services.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Data/AI/Analytics teams.
