Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a VP, Principal Engineer / Tech Lead based in New York. In this role, you will design cloud-based data capabilities that transform compensation processing by leading technical projects and collaborating with various teams.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in enterprise systems and 7 years in data engineering, with strong AWS and Python skills. The position offers a competitive salary range of $175,924.00 - $293,138.00.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing and delivering complex enterprise systems.
• 7+ years of hands-on data engineering experience using Python and SQL.
• Strong experience with AWS services including Glue, Lambda, EventBridge, RDS, and S3.
• Proven ability to design scalable, event-driven and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end cloud data pipelines supporting compensation ingestion.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Python and AWS services.
• Architect event-driven workflows leveraging AWS technologies.
• Implement data quality and monitoring for compensation data integrity.
