Job summary

Alignment Health is seeking a Principal, Data Engineer to lead the data platform engineering at scale within the Medicare Advantage ecosystem. You will set standards, design scalable pipelines, and drive AI/ML integration to improve data quality and reporting reliability.

You will mentor engineers, shape the data platform roadmap, and ensure regulatory compliance across clinical, operational, and financial domains.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in progressive data engineering with platform scale.
• Experience in healthcare/Medicare Advantage environments preferred.
• Proven ability to design and govern enterprise data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Set platform engineering standards across data systems.
• Lead scalable data processing framework design for claims and member data.
• Apply AI/ML within production data pipelines and automation.
• Build and optimize real-time and batch data pipelines in cloud envs.
• Mentor engineers and drive architecture reviews and docs.
• Evaluate new data technologies and roadmap platform investments.
• Deliver HIPAA-compliant, audit-ready data solutions for reporting.
