Job summary

Encore Talent Solutions in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to lead architectural hardening and enterprise integration of Dataiku within a modern cloud data platform using Snowflake, DBT, and AWS.

You will collaborate with data engineers, platform engineers, information security, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams to deliver secure, scalable, and production-ready data solutions that enable enterprise analytics, governance, and self-service data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency with Dataiku DSS, Python, SQL, Linux/Unix.
• Experience developing and supporting enterprise data platforms.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality management, metadata management, secure software development, and production deployment practices.
• Experience building automation, integrations, and reusable engineering solutions.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Dataiku project standards that serve as a production readiness framework and governance model.
• Develop plugins, APIs, and automation to enforce data quality validations prior to production.
• Build automated quality gates preventing promotion of non-compliant projects.
• Partner with Information Security to integrate Fortanix tokenization and encryption into Dataiku workflows.
• Design and maintain enterprise promotion pathways, refactor workloads into DBT where appropriate.
• Integrate Dataiku monitoring with ServiceNow to automate incident creation for pipeline issues.
• Serve as technical steward for business users with templates, reusable workflows, and secure data products.
• Collaborate to integrate Dataiku with Snowflake, AWS services, GitHub, and enterprise APIs.
• Develop automation to improve platform reliability, deployment consistency, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot platform and data pipeline issues and implement long-term improvements.
• Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Promote data governance, DevOps, automation, security, and enterprise data engineering best practices.
