Job summary

OneOncology seeks a Sr. Data Engineer to design and build scalable data platforms in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You will translate business needs into data pipelines, collaborate with IT and analytics teams, and deliver robust, maintainable code in an agile setting.

The role requires extensive SQL, Python, Databricks, Spark, Azure Data Factory, and experience with Lakehouse/Medallion architectures, cloud deployment, and data security.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with SQL development.
• 8+ years of experience with relational and non-relational databases, data modeling, schema design, and query optimization.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing scalable solutions using Python or a similar language.
• Proficient in Databricks, Spark, and Delta tables; experience with large-scale distributed data processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design & implement robust, componentized, and scalable data processes for BI platforms.
• Gain proficiency with big data and cloud technologies to build, optimize, and analyze large-scale data solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical deliverables and identify dependencies and risks.
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable code with proper version control, testing, and deployment.
