Job summary

Onix is seeking a Senior Data Architect to design and implement cloud-based data platforms, focusing on Lakehouse and data warehouse architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and drive governance, quality, and scalable solutions.

The role requires leadership of a data engineering team, hands-on implementation, and keeping pace with evolving data and AI/ML technologies to deliver robust analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in Data Architecture, data engineering & analytics.
• 10+ years of consulting experience.
• Experience with two or more Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deep expertise in at least one.
• Strong knowledge of Spark, Databricks Delta, Iceberg, and Hudi.
• Familiarity with Databricks REST APIs and governance models.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of Lakehouse and data warehouses in cloud environments.
• Translate business data needs into technical requirements with stakeholders.
• Develop data governance policies and ensure data quality and integrity.
• Mentor a team of data engineers and deliver scalable solutions.
• Stay updated on data analytics and AI/ML trends and educate teams.
