Job summary

Extend is seeking a Data/Platform Engineer in the United States to own and evolve the merchant integration platform. You will transform varied data into clean, consistent formats and drive an event-driven architecture using Kafka and AWS Step Functions.

You will ensure end-to-end reliability, implement validation, error reporting, and alerting, and mentor others while owning critical components. 4–6 years of experience in data/platform engineering and strong Python/TypeScript skills are required.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in Data/Platform Engineering with deep AWS serverless experience.
• Fluent in Python and TypeScript, with mentorship and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build anti-corruption layers and expand event-driven architecture with Kafka and Step Functions.
• Own reliability end-to-end with validation, error reporting, and alerting.
