Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Parsippany, NJ seeks an experienced Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable data platforms in AWS, including Lambda-based solutions. You will administer Couchbase clusters, manage RDS/Redshift pipelines, and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for data deployments.

The role requires 7+ years IT, 5+ years in data platforms, strong AWS expertise, and IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation. Excellent client-facing communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of total IT experience, incl 5+ years in data platform engineering.
• Hands-on with AWS services: RDS, Redshift, DMS, Lambda.
• IaC tools: Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with IBM CDC replication and Confluent Kafka.
• Experience in Couchbase cluster management.
• Version upgrades, security patching, and performance tuning.
• Experience building and maintaining Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines.
• AWS IAM services experience.
• DBA experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Linux/Unix: 2+ years.
• Good communication skills, client-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable data platforms in AWS, including RDS, Redshift, DMS.
• Lambda-based data solutions.
• Administer and optimize Couchbase clusters, including upgrades and high-availability configurations.
• Manage database services including RDS, Redshift, and data pipelines.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines leveraging Jenkins for data platform deployments.
• Implement IaC using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Develop data replication pipelines with IBM CDC and Kafka.
• Troubleshoot networking and distributed system issues affecting data services.
