Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Data Platform DevOps Engineer - Senior Associate in Plano to design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud environments for mission-critical data apps.

You will own the container platform on AWS and drive reliable deployments across engineering teams. You will implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, mentor engineers, and promote best practices while collaborating with product, design, and operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applied DevOps/cloud/platform engineering experience.
• Hands-on with AWS (ECS) and cloud-based applications end-to-end.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices, including Jenkins/Spinnaker.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with global partners.
• Excellent communication of technical concepts to operational teams.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models.
• Working understanding of SQL and Kafka dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud environments for data-driven apps.
• Own the AWS ECS platform support model and ensure high availability and performance.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines to enable frequent, safe releases.
• Support CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Spinnaker) and standardize deployment practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable smooth deployments.
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize for speed and scalability across services.
• Support data-in-motion and data-access dependencies (Kafka, SQL) for the stack.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and coach teams on DevOps maturity.
