Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Public Cloud Platform Engineer within Global Technology to guide application teams toward public cloud adoption, maintain platforms, and resolve production incidents affecting customers and businesses globally.

You will work with AWS services, Docker/Kubernetes containers, and a suite of DevOps tools to ensure resilient, scalable systems. This role emphasizes automation, IaC, and cross-functional collaboration in a security-conscious environment.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
Experience building or supporting web environments on AWS using EC2, ELB, RDS, S3.
Experience with DevOps tools in a cloud environment (Ansible, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven).
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform.
Experience with one or more public cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure.

Responsibilities

Drive, support, and deliver on a strategy to operate and broaden use of AWS services.
Identify opportunities to improve resiliency, availability, and performance in Public Cloud platforms.
Improve reliability and reduce incident resolution times for production applications.
Measure and optimize system performance and push capabilities forward.
Provide primary operational support and engineering for the public cloud platform.
Debug and automate routine tasks and collaborate across teams to mitigate production risks.
