Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an AWS Lead Software Engineer, Big Data/ETL, to join the Model Delivery and Platform Engineering team. You will lead design, coding, testing, and automation efforts across secure, scalable data pipelines and production services.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to enforce firm standards, improve reliability, and accelerate delivery using AI-assisted development practices while ensuring robust security and data governance.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Proven track record delivering production-grade software in Java or Python.
• Advanced development experience in Java or Python with strong debugging skills.
• Hands-on AWS and container platforms experience (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience building scalable data processing and Big Data/ETL pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Designs, codes, tests, and delivers automation to streamline workstreams.
• Governs application risk, controls, and compliance with firm standards.
• Owns security and data accountability for the application and storage.
• Coordinates across product and engineering for AO workstreams at scale.
• Runs production services end-to-end with monitoring and incident management.
