Job summary

Juniper Square seeks a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the transformation of our data engineering and analytics function into a modern, scalable Data Platform. You’ll define vision, architecture, and roadmaps to enable self-service, governed data and analytics across the company.

You’ll actively design systems, review code, and guide teams through complex challenges while modernizing the data stack and establishing platform standards for reliability and governance.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in CS, Engineering, or related field required.
• 15+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform roles.
• Proven architecting of large-scale data and analytics systems.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud data services (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end data and analytics architecture strategy.
• Design scalable batch, streaming, and real-time data systems.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical decision-making.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product teams to translate business questions into data solutions.
• Build AI-ready data infrastructure and governance to enable self-service analytics.
• Ensure reliability, cost optimization, and security across pipelines.
