Job summary

The Cigna Group seeks an Application Development Senior Advisor in Morris Plains, NJ to design real-time and batch data pipelines for enhanced digital experiences and analytics. You will build scalable ETL and analytics solutions using Spark, PySpark, SQL, Python, Scala, and cloud tools such as AWS and Databricks.

You will enforce data governance, implement masking, and drive Gen AI-enhanced development practices while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with product and leadership

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a related field with 3+ years of experience, or a Bachelor’s with 5+ years.
• Extensive experience building scalable ETL and analytics pipelines in AWS and Databricks.
• Proficiency with SQL, data modeling, and large data environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time and batch data pipelines using Spark, PySpark, SQL, Python and Scala.
• Architect and implement data pipelines with AWS, Databricks, Redshift, Snowflake, and related tools.
• Lead data governance, access controls, and PII/PHI masking with Immuta.
• Incorporate Gen AI into development pipelines and automate metadata generation.
• Collaborate with executives, product and engineering teams to resolve data issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence.
