Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Software Engineering Senior Advisor in Bloomfield, CT to drive end-to-end software delivery from requirements through production. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering or related field.
• 5 years of software development experience in healthcare.
• Experience with data engineering and data warehousing.
• AWS cloud services and components (S3, Glue, Lambda).
• SQL, Python, and Spark for data transformation and analytics.
• Airflow for workflow orchestration and scheduling.
• Informatica for ETL; Terraform for IaC.
• CI/CD practices with GitHub and Jenkins.
• Healthcare domain knowledge including membership/claims data.
• Collaborating across engineering, product, and business teams to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of CI/CD tools and improve toolsets and processes.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and data warehousing solutions.
• Develop secure, fault-tolerant, high-performance ETL workflows.
• Build event-driven architectures for asynchronous data processing.
• Maintain and optimize SQL databases, tables, views, and procedures.
• Configure Terraform modules for consistent deployments across environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and quality targets.
