Job summary

Subway is seeking a Sr. Manager, Data Partnerships to align business definitions with stakeholders across the organization and to defend data trust for AI-driven and self-service use. You will prototype with Claude and Claude Code to move faster while not owning production.

You will translate how Subway operates—restaurant, franchise, and franchisee economics—into clear definitions, manage contested definitions, and guide engineering with concrete data requirements.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience translating how a business runs into data definitions and governance.
• Track record of working with senior stakeholders under disagreement.
• Enough technical grounding to evaluate a grain or certification call without building the pipeline.
• Basic SQL and data engineering fundamentals to evaluate grain calls firsthand.
• Fluency in Subway's restaurant, franchise, and franchisee economics.
• Background in business analytics, data governance, or client/product success with data fluency.

Responsibilities

• Define business definitions, grain, and dimensions with stakeholders.
• Engage stakeholders regularly to understand operations and data needs.
• Decide when to certify a data definition as trustworthy.
• Prototype definitions using Claude and Claude Code for quick validation.
• Review data sensitivity classifications and surface priorities for delivery.
