Subway Group is seeking a Sr. Product Manager, Data Foundation to own the data foundation as a product and guide what data enters and how it is structured on the platform.

You will prototype alongside engineering and architecture to provide concrete requirements for scalable data delivery. You will collaborate with source-system owners and vendors, define the ingestion roadmap, ensure data quality, and partner with architecture to validate solutions, shaping enterprise data for trusted AI-ready

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a technical or technical‑product role across data pipelines, data platforms, or technical product management.
• Experience owning a backlog or roadmap for a data platform or data product and defending the call on what comes next.
• Comfort working directly with external and cross‑functional partners, including vendors and internal system owners.
• Working SQL fluency and comfort in a modern cloud data platform.
• Ships a working prototype alongside a written spec; comfortable using Claude and Claude Code to prototype, debug, or explore.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity across sourcing, data quality, and analysis, bringing structure where there isn’t any yet.
• Databricks experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Data foundation roadmap: own the roadmap for how enterprise data sources are onboarded, structured, and kept reliable.
• Ingestion roadmap and backlog: decide what gets tackled next within ingestion and defend why.
• Source connections and vendors: maintain relationships with source-system owners and vendors for new sources and issues.
• Structural data quality: ensure ingested data is accurate, complete, typed, observable, and arrives on schedule.
• Hands‑on prototyping and reusable patterns: prototype with Claude and Claude Code alongside written specs.
• Technical partnership: be the go‑to owner for technical questions about the data foundation and coordinate with architecture and the Principal, Data Partnerships.
• Cross‑functional alignment: align engineering, architecture, source owners, and vendors on ingestion roadmap.
• Escalation: elevate source owners who won’t engage and route questions about measures to the Principal, Data Partnerships.
