Job summary

EMD Serono, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data & MLOps Engineer to own data foundations from ingestion to production, collaborating across Data Science, Commercial, Medical, Analytics, and IT to scale prototypes into governed solutions.

You will deploy ML, analytics, and GenAI solutions, establish CI/CD, and ensure governance and security for healthcare data in a hybrid role with in-office and remote work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, MLOps, ML engineering, software engineering, cloud engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience building production data pipelines and data assets.
• Experience deploying or operationalizing machine learning models and AI solutions.
• Advanced SQL, Python, and shell scripting.
• Proven track record with AWS services, CloudFormation, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, containerization, and production software practices.
• Familiarity with model monitoring, versioning, and deployment automation.
• Strong communicator who collaborates with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and feature-ready data assets.
• Deploy and operate machine learning and AI solutions with automated workflows.
• Enable GenAI use cases involving embeddings, vector databases, and RAG workflows.
• Establish reusable engineering patterns, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and governance for data/ML.
• Ensure data privacy, security, quality, lineage, and access controls in healthcare data.
