Job summary

Oteemo, a leading AI-driven tech consultancy, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement AI features end to end—from data pipelines through GenAI and agentic workflows to production deployment. You will build scalable, secure data pipelines across polyglot client environments, developing Generative AI, agentic ML, and BI systems using Spark, LangChain, Databricks, Airflow, and similar frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience including leading technical workstreams
• Expert-level Python and SQL proficiency; able to work in Scala/Java if required
• Experience building Agentic/Generative AI, ML, and BI systems including RAG and embeddings
• Strong data security/governance experience including RBAC, PII/PHI handling
• Knowledge of MLOps/LLMOps and CI/CD for data workflows across cloud providers

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end AI features from data pipelines to production deployments
• Build and optimize scalable, secure data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows in Python and SQL across client environments
• Develop Generative AI, agentic, ML, and BI systems using modern frameworks (Spark, LangChain, Databricks, Airflow)
• Implement MLOps/LLMOps practices across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Enforce data security and governance, including PII/PHI handling and RBAC
• Mentor junior engineers and promote software engineering best practices
