StepStone Group is seeking a Senior Associate in Data Management within Data & Technology Solutions. You will lead end-to-end data workflows, implement AI-driven automation, and govern data mapping across private markets platforms.

The role requires strong technical fluency, experience managing data teams, and a track record of delivering scalable data solutions in a fast-paced environment. This position emphasizes collaboration with engineering, analytics, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5 to 8+ years in data management, investment operations, or a data-intensive function.
• Experience designing and implementing data workflows at scale with measurable gains.
• Direct people management experience, including offshore or vendor delivery.
• Hands-on experience applying technology/AI to operational data problems, including extraction, classification, mapping, and quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Owns end-to-end design, execution, and quality of data management workflows from intake and extraction through validation, mapping and release to downstream systems.
• Establishes a control framework for data quality with SLAs and automated checks.
• Leads application of AI and automation across data management processes, evaluating technologies and designing human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Assesses current workflows to identify root causes and deliver redesigned processes with documented procedures.
• Governs the data mapping framework connecting source data to the enterprise data model, including taxonomies and identifiers.
• Manages and develops a team across onshore, offshore, and vendor resources with capacity planning and training programs.
• Partners with engineering, analytics, and product teams to translate pain points into platform capabilities.
