Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Principal Data Links & Communication Engineer at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA. The role requires high-frequency and tactical data links engineering expertise and a degree in Engineering.

The candidate will advise the Chief Engineer and IPT Leads on performance, schedule and cost, and will lead development, integration, testing and deployment of Air Force data link systems while ensuring compliance with DoD regulations and security requirements.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in software design and software requirements development.
• Proficiency in C++ and Java programming languages and development frameworks.
• Proficiency in MBSE modeling, languages, and tools (DODAF, SysML, UML, Cameo).
• Networking and embedded mission systems experience.
• Familiarity with government acquisition planning, tailoring and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledge and experience in development, integration, testing, and deployment of Air Force data links and their interfaces.
• Advise the program Chief Engineer and IPT Leads on performance, schedule, and cost issues.
• Assist with planning, communications, and control across joint customers and partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
