Job summary
Astrion is seeking a Principal Data Links and Communications Engineer based at Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA. This full-time position requires a Master's or Doctorate Degree and extensive experience in Air Force systems. The ideal candidate will maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance and engage in defining specifications for advanced weapon systems.
Responsibilities include interfacing with federal agencies, providing technical advice on C3 issues, and ensuring interoperability in communication systems.
Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Education: Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field with at least 20 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 25 years.
- Must have and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Knowledge in developing, integrating, testing, and deploying Air Force systems.
Responsibilities
- Support defining specifications for network-enabled weapon systems.
- Interface with federal agencies to ensure compliance with data link standards.
- Provide technical advice on Command, Control and Communications (C3) issues.
- Support developing Joint Service approaches for weapon integration.
