Job summary

Abacus Technology seeks a Data Links and Communications Engineer to support the EPASS program at Hanscom AFB. The role is full-time, based on site in Bedford, MA, and requires extensive data links and DoD program experience.

The candidate will help develop, test, and deploy Air Force systems, define interoperability requirements, and advise senior engineers on performance, schedule, and cost considerations. A active Top Secret clearance is implied by program needs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years experience in data links and communications engineering.
• Master’s degree in a related field; additional years may substitute for degree requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support development, integration, testing, and deployment of Air Force systems and data links; define interoperability and verification requirements.
• Interface with DoD, USAF, Army, and Joint communities to ensure data link compliance with rules.
• Provide resources with knowledge in Developmental and Operational test and Evaluation at subsystem and system level.
• Advise program leadership on planning, performance, and cost issues for communications and control.
• Collaborate with multiple commands and centers on C4 issues and encryption key distribution infrastructure.
