Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer to outline, develop and implement data engineering solutions. The role focuses on data ingest, NiFi, Linux environments, and data models for XML/CSV/JSON.

You will document data flows and support ingestion into customer repositories, with strong emphasis on interface definitions and lifecycle per SOA practices. The position requires TS/SCI with polygraph clearance, extensive SE experience, and the ability to operate within a multi-dataset environment.

Qualifications

• 20 years experience as a systems engineer in similar scope/programs.
• Bachelor-level degree in a related field; five years of additional SE experience may substitute for a degree.
• Demonstrated experience supporting Systems Engineering efforts.
• Able to implement comprehensive SOA solutions.
• Able to conduct end-to-end system trade analyses to optimize operations across the lifecycle.
• Able to maintain knowledge of current standards applicable to system development.

Responsibilities

• Outline, develop and implement data engineering solutions for data ingest.
• Document and model data flows for ingestion into customer repositories.
• Work with Linux, NiFi, and data formats (XML, CSV, JSON).
• Develop interfaces, origin/destination, stimuli and data characteristics for software.
• Provide technical direction for the full systems engineering life cycle.
