Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Data Ingest team to support a suite of web-based applications that automate IC data management and secure data movement across the customer mission space. The role emphasizes data integration, documentation of data flows, and strong engineering leadership within a contractor facility.

The position requires TS/SCI with polygraph, 20 years of SE experience, a related bachelor's degree, and proven ability to design and implement data flows and SOA

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
• 20 years of Systems Engineering experience in similar scope is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; 5 years SE experience may substitute.
• Demonstrated experience supporting Systems Engineering efforts is required.
• Able to implement comprehensive SOA solutions.
• Able to conduct end-to-end system trade analyses to optimize life cycle operations.
• Able to ensure effective configuration control of hardware/software documents.
• Able to develop design alternatives considering life cycle cost, reuse, risk, and growth.
• Knowledge of current and evolving standards for system development.
• Able to recommend a preferred solution based on criteria.
• Provide technical direction for the full systems engineering life cycle.
• Able to define interfaces for software.

Responsibilities

• Outline, develop and implement data engineering solutions.
• Utilize NiFi with Linux, interact with data ontologies and schemas, and work with XML/CSV/JSON databases.
• Map and model data transformation routines for ingestion into corporate repositories.
• Document data flows supporting data routing implementations.
• Desire for experience with smart data systems, entitlements, Java, and Splunk.
