Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Seattle is hiring for a software engineer to build foundational, petabyte-scale data infrastructure for advertising analytics. You will design scalable pipelines, ETL workflows, and APIs, ensuring data quality and cost efficiency across ad servers, exchanges, and SSPs.

You will contribute to a greenfield project, collaborate with senior engineers, and participate in on-call rotations while delivering robust, scalable solutions for our advertising partners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software engineering or related experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store petabyte-scale log-level advertising data.
• Build ETL workflows to transform raw event-level data into queryable formats.
• Create and maintain APIs for analytics teams and data scientists to query data.
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring for pipelines and services.
• Optimize performance and cost of data processing and queries.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in reviews.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on design discussions and architecture.
• Debug production issues and participate in on-call rotations.
• Document systems, processes, and runbooks for operations.
